What jam session is this?

I see. So this is not Bird, Diz, Bean, and Jaws blowing together with Pettiford and Norvo.

It is interesting that they give Jaws top billing on the cover!

for typographical reasons? also because this might have come out in a time when he was a bigger selling point than Bird or Diz?

I'ld lose a small fortune

But the music on that vinyl is no jam session, except in the mind of the manufacturer.

The LP has tracks from various sessions by Cozy Cole (with Coleman Hawkins), Eddie Davis, Slam Stewart (with Red Norvo) and several sides from the notorious 1945 Clyde Hart session on Continental (with Parker, Gillespie and Rubberlegs Williams!).

I bought that one back in 1962 when I was trying to learn about the music. I was attracted by the names. Even then, I was disappointed.
