The Rep Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Look out for Stan Tracey's new album "Soundcheck", it is very good. It is released on 21 st Feb and is another double album. The first disc is duets with Clark Tracey, drummer and son. Stans wife had said that they should record what they played as sound checks and here it is. On reading this I was less than excited but I cannot stop playing it. It is vibrant, alive, creative, and great fun. The second disc is trio work with Andrew Cleyndert on bass with great standards including some Monk. Cheers Ray Quote

I saw him last week on tour with Clark & Andy and the music sounds as good live as it does on the album. Long may be continue to play! Quote
sidewinder Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Sadly, I missed the local concert last week with the Trio but caught Stan and his Octet at Swanage last year. Very good indeed ! Quote
