$2,400 for the two Donald Byrd-Bobby Jaspar originals!

This would have delighted the session producer François Postif!

Amazing ... Wonder what my original VG+ copy of the "Byrd In Paris" LP (the one with Byrd reading the Figaro) would really be worth now. Bought it 7 or 8 years ago in an eBay LP lot for a total of some 50 euros or so that also included an original VG+ copy of Horst Jankowski's "Gäste bei Horst Jankowski" LP on Metronome (which I re-sold for a good deal of the price of the lot as I already had a copy of that one) plus an original Dutch Philips pressing of one of Miles Davis' late 50s Columbia LPs ("Miles Ahead", I think) plus several lesser items.

Seems like that buy wasn't the very worst of my vinyl "investments".

Followin the link of Byrd in Paris I discovered the seller sold a first pressing of an italian book I have, 650 $. Never considered the books I inherited from my father something different then "cultural and emotional heritage", but, man 650 $.

This one is going balistic. A pretty obscure title, to say the least !

Bird Curtis Quintet

You never see any British Jazz LPs of that ilk in charity shops!

Looks like something I'd like to hear - sidewinder, did you win?

Crazy high price for Good Move here.

Hank Mobley's presence on that Roach session probably explains the high price!

My copy looks just as good :)

Yep, mine too, time to sell some records, buy a yatch and sail to Tahiti!

No - didn't bid, have never heard it ! Not something I would want to take a blind punt on, at that price..
