clifford_thornton
Tried to nab the Cecil but my snipe was a few dollars too short. There is another one up there however.
michel1969
Paid $40 for mine about eight years ago. This seems higher than usual: Dolphy on Debut Really 40 $ ? Even eight years ago, it is was a good deal. I 've always heard that this one was highly collectable among Euro jazz fans. I remember that Paris Jazz Corner had this one for sale on one of their auction. Don't know how high it went up... clifford_thornton
$40 for the Colbeck, not the Dolphy... Edit to add: a great little record, the Colbeck, but far fewer give a shit about it than Eric and Erik. Chuck Nessa
Cuscuna sold one of my Art Ensemble lps for $211(Les Stances a Sophie)! Wonder what I could get for a sealed, first pressing of People in Sorrow found at my parent's house?
clifford_thornton
I think I got mine for about $30 several years ago. I would guess now around $40 or $50 if it's sealed.

Don't know - but it is already going for way, way more than my copy, which has a far better condition sleeve and at least as good vinyl. michel1969
And what about this one ? It won't sell, as the guy asks too much for bidding start. Bud anyway, here we have one of the true rarest jazz record.
clifford_thornton
Yeah, I have that on CD. It's real fine. Much rarer than any BN!
michel1969
Yeah, I have that on CD. It's real fine. Much rarer than any BN! Rumors are that a copy of this one sold for 12000 $ years ago at Paris Jazz Corner. True or false i don't know. I've seen another copy auctionned at PJC in their 2002 catalogue. Don't know how much it solds eventuelly. But given the hysteria that was surrounding those auctions i believe it went up very high. My plan is to try to find it at my local flea market, for around 1 €. 2 or even 3 would still be a fine price.
