sidewinder Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 Chris McGregor Solo Keith Tippett on Ogun Tern The ridiculousness on some free jazz titles never ends... That's in the 'frontal lobotomy' league. Quote
ep1str0phy Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 Chris McGregor Solo Keith Tippett on Ogun Tern The ridiculousness on some free jazz titles never ends... Jesus. I saw that Tern listing, too, and I'd be content enough with the CD issue... speaks volumes about the after market power of the Ogun catalog, though. Quote
clifford_thornton Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 I'd say those are the highest prices I've ever seen on any Ogun... Quote
porcy62 Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 (edited) Have a look at this and look how the words STILL SEALED may cause severe damages in the human brain. http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?s...;sass=bobdjukic P.S. Note that sealed items are not eligible for a refund. Edited March 6, 2007 by porcy62 Quote

clifford_thornton Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 Don't think this'll go for TOO much, but the paste-on sleeve is kind of interesting. Brownie, have you seen a Folkways-style jacket for this one? Spirits on Debut Quote

Brownie, have you seen a Folkways-style jacket for this one? Spirits on Debut Mmmm, according to the auction description it's an "original Dutch pressing", while the label on the picture clearly mentions "Made in Denmark"... Quote

Peter A Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 What an outraguous price - $660 - for a Japanese Blue Note LP: Stanley Turrentine - New Time Shuffle Must confess though that this is one of the few Japanese-only BN titles that I don't have (and have never seen). Quote
andybleaden Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 MY GOD! I remember getting offered loads of the LT version of that...literally handfuls of LPs and I think they were $5 a piece and I thought I should only buy 2 or 3 Mind you I too have never seen the Japanese copy before now either ....but still $660 ouch...(ain't even that good I think) Quote

michel1969 Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 Yes it must be. Never seen this sleeve. Not even pictured in the Jap Blue Note cat i have. Also issued as LT 993. Maybe a music in "The Spoiler's" vein ? Quote

Yeah, the "Dutch" was obviously a goof - it appears to be white-on-black, rather than the white-on-white that I've seen elsewhere. I have the Transatlantic, and have never held the Debut in my hands.
