I picked up the Collector's Choice version today, got it for free actually, as I bought the requisite number of used discs. Anyway my question is, how is this old version vs. the RVG and Mosaic? Clips of the RVG seemed too bright to me, and this old McMaster is one of the ok ones it seems.

Yep. The Mosaic is comprised of quintet and sextet sessions between 1961 and 1969, most of them never released on CD (or sometimes even LP). The albums are:

-Comin' Your Way!

-Jubilee Shout

-A Chip off the Old Block

-In Memory Of

-Mr. Natural

-Another Story

The Collector's Choice series was from 1995, but I believe the mastering dated back to the 80's on many of the titles. The mastering on Look Out always seemed okay to me. The album itself is fantastic, one of my favorites by Turrentine.
