kh1958 Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 (edited) I ordered one--I wonder if Ornette is on the whole recording, or just a track or two? He has no upcoming engagements listed on his website--depressing. Edited January 23, 2011 by kh1958 Quote
JSngry Posted January 23, 2011 Author Report Posted January 23, 2011 Ornette's on about 3/4 of it. Quote

A Lark Ascending Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 Tony Kofi's a Nottingham lad. Who's done some pretty interesting work on his own! Seen him a few times over the years - I prefer him on baritone. Remember a particularly fine gig with Byron Wallen in Bath, I think. Last time I saw him he was in the World Saxophone Quartet. Quote

He has no upcoming engagements listed on his website--depressing. I've heard that Ornette is not well. I meant Tacuma actually, as not showing any upcoming concerts or club dates on his website. Ornette sounded really good on November 18 of 2010, is all I can say, not weak or anything like that. Quote
JSngry Posted January 24, 2011 Author Report Posted January 24, 2011 Ornette sounds good on this record too. Summer 2010. Quote

Leeway Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 I really dug this interview with Ornette by the famous (or infamous, depending on your point of view) French philosopher, Jacques Derrida. http://www.ubu.com/papers/Derrida-Interviews-Coleman_1997.pdf Quote
kh1958 Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 It seems that my copy of this CD was lost in the mail, but I must say that the woman who fulfills the orders was very nice and sent me a replacement copy (autographed by Mr. Tacuma even), which I am finally getting to listen to this morning. kh1958 Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 I received this email from Mr. Tacuma. I am extremely pleased to announce I have been awarded The Pew Fellowships in the Arts 2011. I would like to thank firstly The Creator for blessing me, my family for their support, the fans worldwide for appreciating my music, and The Pew Center for Arts and Heritage for acknowledging my work. Also check the website for upcoming summer tour dates for 2011. They will be posted soon. Peace, Jamaaladeen Quote
