BERIGAN Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 Never thought much of Tom , and I like my Janis studio bound, instead of overpowering a mike live, but there is something just very fun, and energetic about this number! They clearly liked singing together....Guess I need to check out more of his duets! The first clip has poorer quality video, but is longer Here is the restored, but less fun clip Quote
JSngry Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 Too late for Janis, but if Tom is looking for an opening... Quote

Christiern Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 Too late for Janis, but if Tom is looking for an opening... Another totally irrelevant attempt at sidetracking a thread—or am I missing something, Jim? Quote
Quincy Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 Too late for Janis, but if Tom is looking for an opening... Another totally irrelevant attempt at sidetracking a thread—or am I missing something, Jim? Well, "raise you hand…" is in the song lyrics of video one. Jim's commercial link has the same. (Thanks so much for planting that jingle back in the brain. ) Also Tom was always known for sweatin' up a storm, so he would make a fine deodorant spokesman if he'd like go that route. Thanks Berigan. I knew about Janis & Pigpen (of the Grateful Dead, not Peanuts) doing duets but not Tom Jones. Quote
