six string Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 There are couple of items at Amazon that I have my eye on. Sansa Clip+ 2 gig - $24.95 http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Sansa-Player-Packaging-Refurbished/dp/B004CN518W/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I333CT9O2Q3GIX&colid=RVSBV717YT9 Combine that with a Sandisk 16 gig micro SD card - $19.45 http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-microSDHC-Memory-SDSDQ-016G-Packaging/dp/B001L1H0SC/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I32KQIIO1R6EN0&colid=RVSBV717YT9 Does that SD card work with the Sansa Clip+ player? That would be plenty of exta memory for me. I'll probably wait a while until the need arises before I buy more memory. Quote

GA Russell Posted January 20, 2011 Author Report Posted January 20, 2011 Re the Sansa clip+: Amazon offers a $4 discount on the devices described as "bulk packaging". Since the likelihood is high that I will throw away the box, I figured that it would be a good way to save money. But yesterday I noticed that the 2 gig (but not the others) is now listed as "refurbished". Makes me wonder. Quote

I'll keep people posted about my experience but so far so good. Quote

A couple of years back, when I had to order a copy of my Bessie biography from Amazon, they said that people who bought it also bought a certain electric broom! I didn't make that up Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 I clean my kitchen with a "Bessie Smith" model broom. It is wonderful. Quote

GA Russell Posted March 17, 2011 Author Report Posted March 17, 2011 Thanks mjzee! Microsoft is denying that any decision has been made, except to say that the latest Zune hardware is the Windows 7 phone. http://anythingbutipod.com/2011/03/zune-is-not-dead/#more-3391 Quote
