SMB1968
Kinda/sorta a box set of promo copies on the cheap from Jazz Loft right now. colinmce
May already be too late (always is), but there's a $54.99 Don Pullen Select at DG. This is a seriously good box set. http://www.dustygroove.com/item/678287 There's also a Dexter Gordon at the same price. Thanks SMB! For $50, this might make a great Christmas present. http://www.jazzloft.com/p-56820-50-cd-grab-bag-straight-ahead.aspx I know someone from JazzLoft posts here from time to time. I am seriously considering this, but am wondering if the promos are CDs only, or if there's art. Makes or breaks the deal for me. jazzbo
These days a lot of promos include art, I bet the majority of these are. Selling promos. . . so 'nineties.

They have put out a lot of interesting Motown-related collections, as well as some interesting collections by some of the UK Beat groups who are obscure Stateside (for instance, the Merseybeats, who hit in the UK with the sublime "I Think of You"). No frills, no great shakes sound-wise, but low prices and legit.

BeBop
"Box Set Sale" at DeepDiscount.com. I don't shop or know any prices, though deepdiscount has done alright by me in the past, when I was buying. So I'll post the link. It could suck. I gave them a fair amount of business for awhile, as the free shipping was a good thing, but haven't even looked at them for a few years. These sale prices look to me to be OK, but not special. The Magnificent Goldberg
I thought some of that Dylan stuff was owned by Sony, some by Universal. How come it's all in one box? MG
mjzee
Nothing of Dylan's is owned by Universal, AFAIK.
felser
Columbia acquired the rights to 'Planet Waves' and 'Before The Flood' when Dylan resigned with Columbia in '74-'75. Everything else in his career has been recorded for Columbia/Sony.
