J.A.W. Posted December 2, 2012 Report Posted December 2, 2012 (edited) (the Miles stuff is missing - I think it was part of the 16 disc box, too?) Was not part of the 16 disc box. There's a great separate 4CD set of the Miles stuff available. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that the US "Prestige Recordings" box had 13 CDs, with none of the Miles Quintet sides. I think there was a European 16-CD box that included the Miles Quintet tracks. Thus, the entire 16-CD box is currently available as four boxes - Fearless Leader, Interplay, Side Steps, and Miles Davis - The Great Prestige Quintet. I had this American 16CD box from 1991 and, as Felser said above, it did NOT have the Miles Davis recordings.: AMG review and tracklisting: http://www.allmusic....gs-mw0000270877 Edited December 2, 2012 by J.A.W. Fer Urbina Posted December 10, 2012 Report Posted December 10, 2012 Amazon Spain offers the reissue of Sony's Charlie Christian set for €14. If it's a straight reissue of the 2002 box (sans the box design), it's a very good deal. Other European Amazon dealers offer it for slightly more. It seems it won't be available in the UK till January, go figure. F Quote
