romualdo
Just found an excellent UK online site - primarily classical but with a good jazz selection http://www.mdt.co.uk/listings/clearance-sale/jazz-clearance-sale.html they have a decent clearance category (not just the usual clearance crapola) easy to navigate about the site - well constructed IMHO picked up the Enrico Rava Cam Jazz Set for £9.92 (VAT removed) - none of the other CAM Jazz sets appear to be reduced though They have the Jazz House CDs (live at Ronnie Scott's) at half price - picked up Montgomery, Golson, Tracy, Freeman-Blythe double anybody else used these people? shipping costs are very reasonable (just over £1 per CD to Australia)

Hundreds of transactions with very few/no problems. I have been and am happy to keep using them. It was easier/faster for me to navigate before their recent upgrade to bells & whistles but still good enough.
GA Russell
Thanks for that tip, romualdo! I was unfamiliar with them. I too ordered the Rava box. Great price! Unfortunately, they gave me no option to choose a shipping method less expensive than airmail, so that cost me an extra pound or so, but no complaints. GA Russell
There are two Dave Brubeck Quartet Original Album Classics boxes. The one with the five odd time albums is now only $14.39. http://www.amazon.co...x_ya_os_product PS - I should add that Amazon's price is $14.98 with free Super Saver shipping. king ubu
Good pre-order price on amazon.de: http://www.amazon.de/The-Complete-1946-1954-Paris-Byas/dp/B009S2U6HI/ As for sound, if Definitive is an indication, it will be rather crappy I guess (and likely even MP3 sourced, you never quite now until you've checked that ... not that I adhere to those who think it matters if crappy editions are MP3-based or not, crap is crap ... but I still don't like buying CDs in those cases). But I'll be happy to be proven wrong. However, as I have the two JiP discs, the Americans Swinging in Paris and the Vogue w/Beryl Booker & Mary Lou Williams, I guess I've got enough (I would though go for a well-done *complete* Byas set of that - or any other! - period)!
