Dave James
I just ordered this and I thought some of you old salts who grew up with the San Francisco sound might find it of interest. I had the good fortune to see the Jefferson Airplane twice in their mid to late '60's hey day. Mighty fine stuff. I still think Marty Balin had one of the great underrated voices in the history of rock. http://www.wolfgangsvault.com/memorabilia/jefferson-airplane-live-box-set.html?utm_source=NL&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=101102
clifford_thornton
Thinking about getting this as well. Lots of music on that USB drive (an interesting way to do it).
Matthew
Sign of old age: The USB is a deal killer for me, I don't trust it.
jazzbo
Hmm. . . Live Airplane is not always that exciting to listen to. . . . I'm going to pass.
bertrand
Last Friday the deal of the day was an Airplane gig from February '68 at the Matrix ($4.20 for the FLAC). Some great playing on there; the instrumental version of 'Ice Cream Phoenix' is worth it by itself. Not sure I need this box set, though. Seems a bit steep for a USB and a book. Bertrand.
