Eric Posted December 22, 2003 Report Posted December 22, 2003 I just bought an NAD 422 tuner. My FM reception here in Kansas City seems to be pretty good, but AM reception just sucks. I am using the antenna supplied by NAD but was wondering if a better antenna might help. Any thoughts/suggestions? Thanks PS - I listen to AM for basketball/football games. Quote

Spontooneous Posted December 22, 2003 Report Posted December 22, 2003 Hey, Eric, I'm in Johnson County and also suffer from lousy AM reception. I tried a bigger antenna and things got better. Take a look at this site for a cheap solution: http://members.cox.net/rwagoner/columns/am_antenna.html I'd agree that the better your equipment, the more it reveals how lousy AM sound really is.
