A couple of folks asked about trades. I'll trade for either Master Piano Jazz or Art Hodes (lp or cd). Those are the only equivalents that I'm interested in at the moment.

Almost my first Mosaic as well -- maybe my 2nd or 3rd.

Lots of GREAT Charles Tolliver; if you've got this, you've got his complete BN-sideman output as I recall.

Everyone I've ever played this material for has suggested something to the effect that Tolliver almost steals the show.

Tolliver also played on Andrew Hill's "Dance With Death", but I agree the McLean recordings were a great feature for him, including some spectacular writing (love "On The Nile"!).

Oh yes. How could I, of all people, forget him with Hill. Tolliver's also all over disc #1 of the Hill BN Select (half of which was first released on Hills "One for One" 2LP set).

And Horace Silver's "Serenade to a Soul Sister".

THAT'S his complete classic-era BN output, best as I can tell.
