A Lark Ascending Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 (edited) E-music is overcluttered with cheapo labels recycling the same stuff...but this label takes some beating for presentation. Edited October 11, 2010 by A Lark Ascending Quote
bertrand Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 I bet they're French and this is a crappy translation of 'tous mes succes'. Bertrand. Quote
Big Beat Steve Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 I bet they're French and this is a crappy translation of 'tous mes succes'. Bertrand. Luckily they aren't Spanish, or else this series would be called "All my exits"! Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted October 11, 2010 Author Report Posted October 11, 2010 Yes, I thought it must be a non-English language country by the unidiomatic series title - the French example above makes sense. I assumed it was Eastern Europe or Russia! But the rest of the artwork...my 11-18 year olds can do better than that on Photoshop! Quote
Teasing the Korean Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 Wow, and I used to laugh at "Gigantes de Pop!" Quote

Claude Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 (edited) They are on iTunes and Amazon too. It's strictly an MP3 business with no physical product. With public domain music, anyone could do that. But I'm not sure the music is in the public domain in the US. Given these conditions, the prices are outrageous (£7 per album) http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/search/ref=sr_nr_p_n_format_browse-bi_0?rh=n%3A77197031%2Ck%3AAll+My+Succes%2Cp_n_format_browse-bin%3A78186031&bbn=77197031&keywords=All+My+Succes&ie=UTF8&qid=1286885072&rnid=78184031 http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/all-my-succes/id396049081 Because of the presence of many french artists, I think it's indeed a french company, called "Elver Records" http://www.emusic.com/browse/0/b/-dbm/b/0-0/1400220703/0.html Here's an "original" "Tous mes succès" release: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tous-mes-succès-Christian-Adam/dp/B002ZSRX1E Edited October 12, 2010 by Claude Quote

Christiern Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 I am particularly interested in Bix Beiderbecke. Wasn't he a contemporary of King Olivieri and Bechette? Quote
