Guest Bill Barton Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 I don't see anything specific on the schedule along those lines, chewy, but I'd bet that Thomas Marriott's new chamber-jazz ensemble will nod in his direction, and Tom's other appearances too most likely. The schedule was firmed up before Hadley Caliman passed. Quote
Utevsky Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 Also appearing in the Earshot festival this year and worthy of note: Eugene Chadbourne; James Carter, John Medeski & Adam Rogers ("Heaven On Earth"); the Darius Jones Trio; Jack Wright & Gust Burns (as a duo and with a large ensemble); the Steve Lehman Octet; and Michael Blake's Lucky Thompson Project. Johnny E Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Let's not forget the Dafnis Prieto Proverb Trio! Quote
Guest Bill Barton Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 and A TRIBUTE TO HADLEY CALIMAN, right? they'd better. I just now noticed that there is indeed a tribute to Hadley Caliman as part of the University District Jazz Walk at the end of the Festival, Saturday, November 6th. It's at LUCID, 5241 University Way NE, 6:00-8:00 p.m., Legacy Quartet. Quote
