brownie
Latest reports indicate Al Jarreau has been taken off the critical list. His condition has been downgraded 'from critical to stable'. 'He is conscious, awake but tired'.
Dan Gould
Latest reports indicate Al Jarreau has been taken off the critical list. His condition has been downgraded 'from critical to stable'. 'He is conscious, awake but tired'. Is "downgraded" the proper terminology in French? Because here, you get downgraded from stable to critical, not the other way around. That's an upgrade, and its welcome news.

It can be compared with a downgrade from "high alert" to "medium alert"
Van Basten II
It's a bit like testing negative may actually be a positive
Shawn
I met Al in Seattle in the late 90's (he came by Muzak for a tour), he was very gracious and friendly. Hope he gets well.

The main thing is that Jarreau's condition is slightly improving! He is being transferred today to an hospital in the larger city of Marseille where he is to stay for the next few days. sidewinder
Al Jarreau is out of the hospital by now! The AP report. Combination of altitude and heat? I wonder if there's an underlying asthmatic condition. Great news that Al is out though. Too many bad news stories these past few days. Happy to oblige A much more pleasant title, especially given all the RIP threads that have been cropping up recently. Not that the passing of these wonderful artists shouldn't be noted. It should. But good news is always welcome.
