Bol Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 I am looking for a copy of this with both CD and inserts in excellent unblemished condition. Thanks. Quote
Alec Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 I think my local store has a copy. How much did you want to spend? (If they have it, I think it is around $5.00 or $6.00.) I can check tomorrow or Thursday. Quote

Alec Posted July 3, 2010 Report Posted July 3, 2010 I checked, but they were out. Sorry. They still have a bunch of OJCs, and some of the more common K2s, however. Quote

NIS Posted July 3, 2010 Report Posted July 3, 2010 Hey Bol, I was looking for another Walt Dickerson CD and noticed that Downtown Music Gallery claims to have "A Sense of Direction". Quote
Bol Posted July 4, 2010 Author Report Posted July 4, 2010 Hey Bol, I was looking for another Walt Dickerson CD and noticed that Downtown Music Gallery claims to have "A Sense of Direction". Yes, I checked with them. But no luck. Good luck with your search. Quote
colinmce Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 Dusty Groove currently has this in stock for $34.99 http://www.dustygroove.com/item.php?id=5d54vbjw29&ref=browse.php&refQ=cat%3D5%26amp;format%3Dcd%26amp;new_status%3Dused%26amp;page%3D1 Quote
clifford_thornton Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 Dang... I think I got the original LP in good nick from them for cheaper than that! Quote
colinmce Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 I guess it's better than the $100 the guy on Amazon wants. Strange to think of a mere OJC being "worth" so much. Quote
clifford_thornton Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 Yeah, I know. I suppose it's kind of like buying Blue Notes for $5.98 back in the day and now they can fetch hundreds of dollars. Still, I find it hard to pay more than $20 for a CD. Quote
AmirBagachelles Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 If you really want this music, $35 is a pretty good price to get it in low loss digital, when you consider the more expensive options in 2-3 years. They ain't pressing no more archival jazz CDs for "mainstream" consumers (such as we), it's only a specialty item now. Sometimes when I can't get an OOP disc I console myself with cheap vinyl, and just get a burn of the disc for convenience sake. Quote
