skeith Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 Anyone bought any decent machine that does this? I have seen one box units that have both VHS and DVD and say they record. Does that mean you can chuck your VCR and transfer your VHS tapes to DVD and play either VHS or DVD on one machine? Anybody have any suggestions for good units? Quote
rockefeller center Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 (edited) The infos on this bulletin board got me started: http://forum.doom9.org/index.php Good luck! edit: sorry, I'm afraid this board doesn't have infos on stand alone recorders. I'll leave the link anyway. Edited December 11, 2003 by rockefeller center Quote
Tjazz Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 If you have a DVD burner on your computer with software. You just need to hookup your VCR to your computer to input the video. Quote
chris Posted December 12, 2003 Report Posted December 12, 2003 Unless it is commercial VHS with macrovision, in which case you need a Sima CC box or similar to get rid of the Macrovision protection... Quote
