AllenLowe Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 (edited) just a notice - stock is running very low on the blues box, volume 1, and right now I only have about 5 more I can sell until the next shipment comes in, which will be a while. $56 shipped USA, $66.50 to Europe Devilin Tune - only 2 more of Volume 1 in stock right now, will get more, but not at this price - $50 shipped USA - Vols. 2, 3,4, also running low - once out, the price will go up about $15 per box. paypal is best, alowe5@maine.rr.com "I heartily recommend these sets, for both your pre-coitus and post-coitus listening pleasure." - Kate Smith Edited June 11, 2010 by AllenLowe Quote
ghost of miles Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 Said it before and I'll say it again--the DEVILIN' TUNE box-sets are some of the best jazz anthologies I've ever heard, and a real bargain for what Allen's asking. Quote
AllenLowe Posted June 11, 2010 Author Report Posted June 11, 2010 thanks - and just to note, so Ghost is not seen as endorsing any of my stranger ideas, the pic was probably edited into my first post as Ghost of Miles was posting his response, and before he saw it. Quote
Ron S Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 ANY price is too high for those sets. There--I've said it. Quote
AllenLowe Posted June 11, 2010 Author Report Posted June 11, 2010 sorry, shipping to Philly is too risky - Quote

AllenLowe Posted June 11, 2010 Author Report Posted June 11, 2010 some of you have questioned how I can offer these incredibly good prices - well, it has to do with my modern aquisition techniques - Quote
AllenLowe Posted June 11, 2010 Author Report Posted June 11, 2010 it also helps to have state-of-the art factories, and tough negotiators who are not afraid to negotiate the best deals we can get with angry unions - though we do have to out-source on occassion - Quote
cih Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 (edited) I just finished my first full listen through Devilin Tune this week - still reading the book - fabulous stuff (understatement). Thanks for confirming my suspicion that I might like jazz. (you can quote that on the front of your next box if you like, just above Greill Marcus and Gary Giddens ) Looking forward to part 2 of the blues one. If only there was a gospel set like this...
