paul secor Posted May 21, 2010 Report Posted May 21, 2010 (edited) Guitarist Larry Dale (Ennis Lowery) passed on May 19th in New York City. He was one of the musicians who were a part of the NYC blues scene in the 1950's and 60's. He played some dynamite guitar on Champion Jack Dupree's Blues from the Gutter album, and his Glover 45 -"Let the Doorbell Ring" is a classic blues/r&b record. RIP, Mr. Dale - and thanks for the music you gave us. Edited May 21, 2010 by paul secor Quote

zootsi Posted May 25, 2010 Report Posted May 25, 2010 I remember hearing him live on the radio every Saturday night from some club in Newark in the early '60's.I was a teenager then, just getting into blues guitar. Wow, I wish I recorded some of that stuff! Quote
