Chuck Nessa Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 (edited) Larry who? Edit to add I met Larry in 1966/67 and he remains one of my best friends. Edited May 17, 2010 by Chuck Nessa Quote
Larry Kart Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 Thanks all. I'm going to celebrate (I hope) by listening to Matt Bauder, Toby Summerfield, and Josh Abrams at The Hungry Brain in Chicago tonight. Quote
JSngry Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 After making an attempt to notice every birthday last year, I was going to make a point to not mention any one this year. Which does not mean that there is not room for a random utterance of deep love, gratitude, and respect for the man named Larry Kart who appears to have had a birthday today. Even if his opinion about Frankie Dunlop is proof that nobody, not even this guy, is perfect. Close, though! I sincerely hope that we can have you as a guest in our home someday. Quote
jazzbo Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 Hope it was a great one, and many many more happy returns! Quote
Larry Kart Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 Hope it's a terrific night! It was. Bauder in his bolder bag rather than his quiet/spacy one. John Herndon on drums. Very intense, even hard-swinging at times. I sincerely hope that we can have you as a guest in our home someday. Thanks. That would be great. Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 Have I missed it? Well, happy birthday, anyway. MG Quote
