Stefan Wood
Got a Good Thing Goin, That Certain Feelin, Understanding and Boogaloo all lay down the law as far as I'm concerned. Smokin stuff!
sidewinder
Pretty well anything from 'Understanding' got the biggest thumbs up from me on this set - smokes like the Flying Scotsman with boilers flat out. The empathy between Alexander, Patton and Walker is very strong - clear evidence of lots of nights hard work together on the bandstand. The sound is also pretty nice, one of Ron McMaster's better ones. I like this Mosaic select one heck of a lot. PHILLYQ
I was listening to disc two of the set last night, and the whole session with Grant Green, Ben Dixon, Blue Mitchell & Harold Vick just absolutley smokes! Fat Judy got me up off the sofa pumping my fist-it's got a groove that's tres greazy.

Soulstation1
anyone even buy the patton set?
jlhoots
I didn't buy it because I have everything except That Certain Feelin' & couldn't bring myself to spend $39 just for that. That being said my favorite may just be the Oh, Baby! CD.
