"1960: Jazz at the Dawn of a Decade" (a sequel to the previous Night Lights program 1959: Jazz's Vintage Year) features music from Hank Mobley, Wes Montgomery, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, the Jazztet, and Max Roach, as well as a rare encounter between Eric Dolphy and Ornette Coleman, playing the music of Thelonious Monk.
