According to the email, "this 2 CD set is a re issue of 3 LPs produced for Verve Records in 1958. Two of the LPs ("The Perennial George Lewis" and "Oh Didn't He Ramble" ) were led by George Lewis and recorded by Norman Granz in Chicago in 1958. Musicians on both LPs are: George Lewis (clarinet), Thomas Jefferson (tpt, vcl.), Jim Robinson (trombone), Joe Robicheaux (piano), Alcide Pavageaux (bass) and Joe Watkins (drums). Tunes included on "The Perennial George Lewis" are: "Ace in The Hole", "It's a Long Way to Tipperary", "West End Blues", Jambalaya" and 6 others. Tunes included on "Oh Didn't He Ramble" are: "Say Si Si", Beale Street Blues", Down Home Rag", Riverside Blues" and 6 others. Bunk Johnson's re-emergence in the 1940s inspired a whole generation young jazzment worldwide. This CD contains 23 tracks all recorded beween 1942 and 1947 for various producers."
