I remember seeing one at the Victoria Falls on the Rhodesia side that said "Watch out for crocodiles". It gave us a rather uneasy feeling. (We didn't see any, by the way.)

That was where a lady in a shop asked us if we had seen the waterfall.

Taken last month. I would not recommned walking here.

Where was that, John?

It was taken in the Hluhlewe Game Reserve, South Africa. SA is a fabulous place for a holiday. The wildlife is unbelievable.

Yes - my wife has been many times - is going again in August, September and October. I don't think she has been to Hluhlewe, though.

Nearest I've been is Namibia - Etosha and a couple of other wildlife places, with her. Ten days of wildlife is too much for me, but she can't get enough of it.

Hoping to go back before too long. There's a Namibia, Botswana, Zambia trip which looks great, finishing at the Victoria Falls. Really enjoyed staying in those bush lodges.

It's a LOT cheaper if you book all your lodges yourself and organise your own car hire. That's what my wife does. She and her friend have complete flexibility in planning the trips.

(Mind you - the road along the Caprivi Strip from Nam to Victoria Falls is the most dreadful she's ever driven on.)

Can't be worse than the Sani pass. Thanks for the tip. But is looks like it will be the California and Oregon next. We always drive ourselves in the US.
