DMP
Is this coming out this week? Am I dreaming? It was a lousy movie, but that title song is still stuck in my head since I saw it as a kid when it came out in the '60's.

rostasi
There isn't really a "title song", but it came out under a slightly different name about 6 weeks ago: "You Shorty, Me Tarzan." There are some added tracks as well from "Big Band Giants" and "Three Little Bops"
Teasing the Korean
This is the third greatest album ever made, next to "Jazz Heat, Bongo Beat" and "Satan in High Heels." My copy is beat to hell. Is there a reissue? Edited March 22, 2010 by Teasing the Korean
Chuck Nessa
Probably an issue based on a recent download.

Is there a reissue? Would not rate this Tarzan that high but I must say I have enjoyed the album. Will have to relisten to it to check on the Frank Rosolino solos which are among his best. Got a mint mono copy from Fred Cohen's Jazz Record Center several years ago at a rather reasonable prize! The cover was worth the cost! DMP
I think you're correct, it really wasn't a "title" song, just music played over the opening credits - if I remember, it just sort-of faded out when the credits ended, very arbitrary. Pretty much like the movie itself. But it will be interesting to see how my memories jibe with reality. (Probably in for a disappointment. I had a similar experience recently with Tony Crombie's "Man Fom Interpol" - my childhood recollection was much more positive than the actual music deserved.)
