Randall,

I concur 100%. I was just inquiring in response to a private e mail from a cat who mentioned that HAYNES WAS A "FUDGE PACKER".

Haynes used to come into Condon's back in the middle '80's and I actually got to play bass with him in an after hours session. I have a tape of it.

I merely posed the question because he never indicated it to me and I was alone in his car with him and talked at length.

Everytime I'd ask him if he played with someone, rather than accept that term, he would come back with "We played together. I never played WITH anybody", to which I retorted, "Well, you did play *WITH* Bird didn't you?" He had to nod a humble positive on THAT one.

Was he gay when he fathered Graham? Or did the direction Graham took in his music make him swear off procreation? And do I care even the slightest one way or the other?

Can't answer the first two (although I'd answer the second with "wouldn't blame him if he did"), but the answer to the third is "no". Sorry.

How about Wilmer and the Dukes? I'm wondering if DEEP ever crossed paths with that organization (or its members) back in the late-60s?

What are you saying here? Condon and Haynes? I think someone had better clarify!

Calm down Christiern, stop walkin' on air.

Haynes entered the club.

He did NOT come into Condon's BACK!!

Whew!!! I know these things excite you but settle the fuck down.

As the new kid on the block, I hereby take responsibility for my shameless pollution of this venerable thread. I was heedlessly caught up in the free-for-all, erroneously believing that the sexual repartee was enjoyed by everyone. MY wit failed you all. Mea culpa.

Patty: You are enlightened, sensitive, sympathetic and aggressively misunderstood, especially by ME. Were I not such a miserable failure at marital relations I would in GOOD FAITH attempt to cultivate your good graces. Any modern RECONSTITUTED man would overcome any and all political barriers to submit a claim to equality and communion with you.

Organissimo (in toto): I humbly thank you for this forum, which I have heretofore defaced. My ingratitude has been flagrant. Henceforth I sing your praises and scour the racks for your various recordings.

Christiern: Welcome back. If my ravings on this thread kept you away, I apologize. Only know that I respect your political views, passionate though they be. After all, I hated Clinton as much as you hate Bush.

DEEP: Thank you for the opportunity to engage on your most stimulating thread. If I've offended you in any way please ascribe it to my ignorant apprehension of your multi-faceted personality. You ARE the ORIGINATOR. In those instances where we have been mistakenly compared by others, reassure yourself that I wither in your reflection like the undead exposed to the light.

Seppuku beckons...

Yeah right, The Groper. That tranparent bullshit doesn't cut with anybody around here, least of all Patty & Cistern.

It's about as interesting as all that nickname shit Patty was littering up the thread with.

I suggest you take it to phone sex with her and JUMP THREAD.

On a much more interesting topic: Any of you Dilds ever take an OPEN MRI??

"TRANSPARENT B***S***??!!!"

You wound me grievously, sir. Your ill-considered contempt pierces the marrow of my being. My soul is a vacuum, a void, the abyss from which my shrivelled heart shrinks. Would you deny me the succor of my interlocutors, Patricia and Christiern, to whom I entreat, "I have seen the abject error of my ways--spare me the HAM-FISTED onslaught of this foul beast!"? Yet you, Pompous Originator, would speak of MRI's, open or otherwise? I feel faint, spent...

EMG?

I don't think MRIs are uncomfortable proceedures, DEEP.

I think it's like taking x-rays. The only discomfort is from lying down on the cold gurney with that paper tissue apron they make you wear instead of your fashionable clothes. Then you've got some young lady taking see-through pics of you while you lie there in your undies and tissue-thin apron. Pretty humiliating, but no painful. <_<

(This has now become the medical thread.)

CLOSTROPHOBIA!!

Ah, the poetic imagery of it--Gulliver tethered and tormented by the Lilliputians! Clostrophobic (sic), polk(sic)-ed with needles, electrical impulses and capital gains. I am reborn, refreshed...

Could it be that Mr. Monster Johnson Gulliver is now praying for the return of a bear market?

The only person I know who underwent an MRI, back when the technology was new, was enclosed from head to feet (in a tube, basically), but complained only of the lengthiness of the procedure (approximately 45 minutes). I think my own feeling would be like Gulliver's--clAUstrophobic. I sincerely hope that nothing sinister was detected during the ordeal.

The Grope (a dope),

The experience DID take 40 minutes and when alone in that *machine* with nothing to do but retreat into your own thoughts, one has a tendency to try to think of pleasant experiences. In my case it was thoughts of past sexual conquests.

The TUBE is about 3 inches from your body when lying flat on your back.

Suffice it to say the procedure was interrupted by my ERECTION which had NO ROOM for...

...EXPANSION!!

Hey man, I had one of those MRIs a few years ago, and an EMG too. The MRI didn't bother me too much, but if it had gone on a second or two more, I'd have gone left immediately upon its conclusion. I felt like I was inside one of those cans of custom-colored paint where they mix it up in store. RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, non-fucking-stop, with just enough vibration to take the experience from irritating to unpleasant. And even with my eyes closed, I felt closed in. Nothing I'd want to go through again any time soon.

And who's the sadistic s.o.b. who invented that EMG? God DAMN can there be a more tortuous procedecure that is sanctioned by the medical profession (other than filling out paperwork)? You'd think that between the Geneva Convention and the Hippocratic Oath they'd have put a stop to THAT bullshit by now.

Hope all is well.

DEEP,

I had MRIs done last year. The first attempt at the traditional MRI tube lasted about 3 minutes. I freaked out completely. Screamed bloody murder, and almost choked the dickhead technician when he asked "why are you so excited?"

So I was sent to Elmira for an "open" MRI. Open my ass. You still have a freakin' wall a few inches from your mug, yet it IS open at the sides. No dice. I freaked but somehow lasted the full time in that fucking metal sandwich. I stood in the corner when it was over shaking. And I'm no pussy I can assure you.

Some ammo for THE GROPE (A DOPE),

If you really believe that President BUSH lied - - THAT THERE NEVER WERE ANY WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION IN IRAQ AND HE TOOK US TO WAR SOLELY FOR HIS OIL BUDDIES -- then read this and ...

"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to

develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver

them. That is our bottom line."

- President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is

clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons

of mass destruction program."

- President Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998

"Iraq is a long way from [the USA], but what happens there matters a

great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will

use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is

the greatest security threat we face."

-Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten

times since 1983."

- Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18,

1998

"[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the

U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if

appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond

effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of

mass destruction programs."

- Letter to President Clinton, signed by Sens. Carl Levin, Tom

Daschle, John Kerry, and others Oct. 9, 1998

"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass

destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and

he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."

- Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998

"Hussein has ... chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass

destruction and palaces for his cronies."

- Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10,

1999

"There is no doubt that ... Saddam Hussein has invigorated his weapons

programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear

programs continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In

addition, Saddam continues to redefine delivery systems and is doubtless

using the cover of a licit missile program to develop longer-range

missiles that will threaten the United States and our allies."

- Letter to President Bush, Signed by Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL)

and others, December 5, 2001

"We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a

threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the

mandated of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass

destruction and the means of delivering them."

- Sen. Carl Levin (D, MI), Sept. 19, 2002

"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical

weapons throughout his country."

- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to

deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam

is in power."

- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and

developing weapons of mass destruction."

- Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002

"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are

confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and

biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to

build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence

reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons..."

- Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the

authority to use force-- if necessary-- to disarm Saddam Hussein because

I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his

hands is a real and grave threat to our security."

- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002

"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working

aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear

weapons within the next five years ... We also should remember we have

always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of

weapons of mass destruction."

- Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002

"He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11 years,

every significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and

destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear

capacity. This he has refused to do"

- Rep. Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show

that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological

weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear

program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists,

including al Qaeda members .. It is clear, however, that if left

unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage

biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear

weapons."

- Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002

"We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that

Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing

capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction."

- Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), Dec. 8, 2002

"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal,

murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a

particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to

miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to

his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass

destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass

destruction is real..."

- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003

SO NOW THE DEMOCRATS SAY PRESIDENT BUSH LIED, THAT THERE NEVER

WERE ANY WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION AND HE TOOK US TO WAR FOR HIS OIL

BUDDIES???
