vajerzy Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 My daughter is off from school due to snow and we're watching Rocky and Bullwinkle Season 2 and I forgot how funny this is- bad puns, good puns, it's hilarious! Quote
GA Russell Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 (edited) I'll always remember Boris's plan to undermine the economy of the nation by printing counterfeit box tops! PS - Also, Lake Veronica and Bullwinkle's alma mater Whassamatta U. Edited February 2, 2010 by GA Russell Quote
Big Al Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 BORIS (disguised as doctor): Good news! Moose did not pull through! ROCKY: But you said Bullwinkle would be fine! BORIS: Moose is fine. Fine-ly dead! BULLWINKLE: H'lo everybody! ROCKY: Bullwinkle! BORIS: Moose! BULLWINKLE: Uh, there's a 'J' in there somewhere.... Quote
Tom in RI Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Love Moose and Squirrel. Guitarist Clay Moore covered the Rocky and Bullwinkle theme on his 1998 release Meeting Standards. Quote
BruceH Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Best animated TV series ever? Could be. Quote
mikelz777 Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 (edited) The voice talent for the show was fantastic. The non-R&BW cartoons were great too. Dudley Do-Right, Peabody and Sherman, Fractured Fairy Tales, Aesop and Son, etc. It was funny, clever and just as fun to watch for the adults who caught all the jokes that went over their kid's heads. BruceH Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 "Peabody and Sherman" was classic! And getting Edward Everett Horton to narrate "Fractured Fairy Tales" was inspired. Quote

I'm laughing out loud and my 9 year old is looking at me like <what??>....it keeps her attention because the cartoons change after 10 minutes..... Quote
sonnymax Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 Scene: Rocky, Bullwinkle, Boris & Natasha are on the deck of a ship sailing in rough waters. Announcer: "Suddenly the ship listed to port!" Boris: "It's better than Muskatel." Count me as another big fan of the show. Imagine my surprise and joy some 20 years later when I dated a Russian woman named...yep, you guessed it. Quote
Dave James Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 Don't overlook the fine cast of supporting players. Nell and Inspector Fenwick from Dudley Doright and Fearless Leader from R&B. And, although it was and object and not a character, who could forget the infamous Kerward Derby. Quote
Big Al Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 I can't eat Macadamia nuts without thinking "very salty!" Quote
