Well, I'm dipping my toe into the water - I ordered this today.

One of the best African music blogs around, Likembe, has started featuring contemporary kora music made for the W. African market.

Definitely worth checking out!

* Edited to add: while I'm not crazy about the arrangements on Tata's cassette, I like his playing and singing a lot. "Duwa" is super.

Just hope someone here gets this album while it sells for a song (I'm not the seller). It's so good it's worth a bit of proselytizing.

Such a great shame. A true master and a great collaborator too. I was lucky to see him just once with his Orchestra
