brownie
Very sad news from the British Journal of Photography. He was a member of the Magnum agency. A sample of some of his photos of jazz interest:
Chuck Nessa
Sorry to hear this. Jazz Street meant a lot to me in my "development".
king ubu
Sad news. I've not seen many of his photos, I think, but some of these are icons! Love the one of Pres on sitting on the bed, had that one on the wall for some time.

jeffcrom
Sorry to hear this. I'm with Chuck - Jazz Street is the most beautiful book of jazz photographs out there.
jazztrain
Sad news indeed. I found a copy of Jazz Street years ago at a very reasonable price in a used book store on Cape Cod. I subsequently loaned it to a friend who, to the best of my knowledge, still has it. Figuring it would likely never come back, I tracked down another (albeit somewhat more pricey) copy a few years ago. Stock really had an eye. Sorry to hear this. I'm with Chuck - Jazz Street is the most beautiful book of jazz photographs out there.
