BFrank Posted October 23, 2009 Report Posted October 23, 2009 Looks like some great stuff. I'll have to read through the site more when I get a chance. Nice shot of the Camera Obscura and Seal Rock in SF, too. Quote
Patrick Posted October 23, 2009 Report Posted October 23, 2009 Potential cover art material for a Gitanes-produced "Jazz in America" series? Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Just discovered this elsewhere, and was about to post a thread on it. Stunning work. Quote
Christiern Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 My blog has had a link to this for about a year. The photos are great and so is the story behind them. Quote
jostber Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Seems like there will be a book as well: http://vivianmaier.blogspot.com/2009/10/unfolding-vivian-maier-mystery.html Quote

Jim R Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 I find much of this nothing less than riveting. Thanks for hipping me. Quote
brownie Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 How did I miss all this A very real discovery! Quote
Son-of-a-Weizen Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 That's a neat picture. No visible superstructure in the reflection so it looks as though the sign is floating in thin air. Or, um.....maybe my eyes are just screwed up? Is it a decal on the mirror? Yeah, maybe it is......looks like it says 'Chuck's Hotel'? Quote
Christiern Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Good to see you back, Rolf. You were missed. Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Good to see you back, Rolf. You were missed. Yes, let me echo that. Quote
ejp626 Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Anyone near Chicago, the Cultural Center just opened a retrospective -- I guess 80-90 prints (out of 100,000+). Should run through early April. I haven't gone (the first week has just been mobbed), but I'll run by very soon, maybe as early as Tuesday. Very excited. I'll almost certainly get the book too. Quote
street singer Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Thanks for sharing. This stuff is remarkable... Quote
