Jim Alfredson Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 Good thing we have to forum police to judge each and every post for its worth based on a complicated formulae of whether or not they like the poster. Quote
Dave James Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 I never worked with Cindy personally, but it sounds like she was first chair all the way. Someone who has had dealings with her should send her a link to this thread. I'm sure she'd appreciate all the good thoughts that have been expressed here. Up over and out. Quote

tranemonk Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 I emailed her and got a really nice email back... Apparently she had been there 15 years... !! Totally first class!!!! Quote
AllenLowe Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 didn't realize my fan club would disrupt the proceedings - sorry Cindy, and all the best. Quote
Cliff Englewood Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 Good thing we have to forum police to judge each and every post for its worth based on a complicated formulae of whether or not they like the poster. Or maybe we could have posters create a complicated formula to police themselves so that they don't feel the need to post each and every though that enters their head??? Quote

king ubu Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 I don't quite get the joke... OJC as in "Offensive junger Christen"? Quote

AllenLowe Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 I think we should send Cliff all posts for prior approval - he could be, like, the Organissimo Food Taster. Quote

Look I try to stay out of the daily machinations of the board but I feel a need to respond. Yes, Allen is one of the few board members that I've had the pleasure to meet with and share a drink. However, just because I've met him offline that doesn't mean that I automatically give all of his posts a "pass". Please give me some more credit than that. I don't quite get the joke... OJC as in "Offensive junger Christen"? I'm not sure if you are being facetious but.... OJC = Original Jazz Classics. Surely you remember a few years ago right after OJC was acquired by Concord there was a thread here about a long time female employee(Terri Hinte) that had been let go. So I found it rather humorous that Allen tied those two threads together. As I said in my previous post YMMV. Quote
king ubu Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 Thanks, now I get it.... of course I first thought of OJC, but I could make no sense out of that because I didn't think of the Terri Hinte firing... sorry for being a bit slow these days, but my head's just too full with crappy stuff. Chalupa Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 The flowers were nice but some dark chocolate would have been better. Quote
AllenLowe Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 (edited) poor Cindy, if she's reading this, is thinking "this is why I got the hell out of the jazz business." Edited October 1, 2009 by AllenLowe Quote

king ubu Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 c'mon, now relax, have a pint of Guinness, play some fun stuff... I don't always agree with Jim's point of view, I don't find all of Allen's jokes funny, but gee! Quote

AllenLowe Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 just also want to put in a word for the late Charlie Lourie, who I'm sure Cindy knew well, and who was one of the really great guys in the business. Quote

JETman Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 Just wanted to let everyone know that today is Cindy's last day at Mosaic, which will never be the same without the exceptional customer service she provided, and the way she had of making us feel like part of the "family". Quote
jazzkrow Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 Dropped Cindy a line Her response: Dear Jeff, Thank you for your email! I appreciate your kind words and continued support. It was an honor and my pleasure to have been able to help you. Yes, I will have to read the posts on Organissimo. I Wish You All of the VERY Best! Cindy (A very classy lady-wish customer service was half as good elsewhere!) Quote
