The Magnificent Goldberg Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 Sorry, just got to say this - Your pear has a peach of a view. (Groan) MG Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 (edited) Nothing like a good dousing to bring out the colour of a garden: The only thing edible in my garden are a few herbs and, eventually, some tomatoes. Though I might try some aubergines this year. (oh, and the plum tree and wild cherry tree - though I cut that back so far last autumn very little in the way of shoots have reappeared). Looks a bit forlorn. The first rose is just coming out - for some reason roses grow really well here, some of them continuing to flower as late as November. Edited June 1, 2010 by Bev Stapleton Quote

Jazzjet Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 A photo of our garden in Cornwall ( South West UK ). My wife's the gardener - I'm just the (unpaid) labourer. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 Fancy swapping properties, Jazzjet? I'm sure Worksop would be perfect for you! That garden is gorgeous...and in just the place in the world where I want to be! Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 I'm sure Jazzjet would prefer Tonyrefail MG Quote

A Lark Ascending Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 Where did yours go, Jazzjet? Taken it off the market? Here's my lunatic hop plant this morning. Displaying triffid like characteristics this summer: Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted June 4, 2010 Author Report Posted June 4, 2010 Ann finished planting our vegetable garden out at the "farm" today. She's very pleased to have that done. Quote

I noticed that yesterday as well. No idea how that happened. It's the first photo I've posted so may have done something wrong. Anyone know how to make the image larger, like all the other photos? A Lark Ascending Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 (edited) That works, Jazzjet. Much nicer to see the pictures straight away rather than clicking links etc. Don't know if it's just the angle of the shot or the lense but that garden looks huge! Jazzjet Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 That works, Jazzjet. Much nicer to see the pictures straight away rather than clicking links etc. Don't know if it's just the angle of the shot or the lense but that garden looks huge! The formal garden is about half an acre. We also have a small woodland which we are battling with nature to tame. We're part of the National Garden Scheme, where owners open their garden for charity. Our Open Day is June 19th which, luckily for our marriage, doesn't conflict with an England game in the World Cup! Quote

Jazzjet Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 Our garden and place to get away from the crazy world. That looks great! Nice and lush, just like an English garden. Quote
WorldB3 Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 (edited) ^ Thanks, we had rain just about evert week this year in the Bay Area and everything went crazy. In March I had the worse allergies of my life and couldn't taste food for months but I guess it was all worth it. Edited June 10, 2010 by WorldB3 Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 Looks wonderful, World B3. One thing a garden has done for me is make me appreciate rain. Quote
