RainyDay Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 Good to be online again! Anyone click on "Today's Active Topics" yet? There were two! Haha! Good to the board back up and I hope everyone up there in Michigan is safe and dry! Yeah, I have outstanding telephone and e-mail messages to relatives in Okemos, MI who are recent San Francisco refugees. I bet they wish they were back in Baghdad by the Bay. Hope everyone out there is safe and sound. Quote
Saxophone__Vagina Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 yay! its back, there was a large void i had to fill in my internet browsing. Quote
randissimo Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 The entire internet was slow for me last night. ESPN's page loaded up tremendously slow and this board was loading slow, too. Seems to be pretty good today. We've been getting one bitchin' storm after another since Friday and there are still more to come! Quote

Use3D Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 We've had some nutty weather here the last few days. Sorry everyone. Masterhit got flooded and now can't do anything but slide around like a slug. Quote
patricia Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 I couldn't get on for days. Then I was watching the news here and there were pictures of the roofs of people's houses. How bad is this?? Holy man!! Is Lansing affected by the flooding?? Quote
Joe G Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 The rivers are high. A couple of golf courses are flooded, and probably a lot of basements, but otherwise, we haven't experienced the worst of it here. The farmers in the area might give you a different answer. Quote
patricia Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 (edited) The rivers are high. Whew, I guess. It reminds me of the TV coverage of the earthquake, a few years back in San Francisco. The devastation was what we saw. My brother went to SF, a few days later, as planned and yes, there was huge damage to the marina and other places in the city, but the city was still there. You can't show pictures of nothing happening. Of course the pictures are going to be of the flooded areas and not the not-flooded areas. I had visions of all of our guys and their families, pearched on their roofs. Edited May 25, 2004 by patricia Quote
J.A.W. Posted May 27, 2004 Report Posted May 27, 2004 The board's been running slow again the last few days, and very much so today. Lost a post that way earlier today. Storm problems again? Quote
