Jim Alfredson Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 This new server is really fast for me too. I really apologize for the site being down, folks. For those that don't know, the company that hosted my site, The Chain, was sold by it's owner to another company supposedly as of August 11th. I was supposed to have received an email about this, which I never did. They were also supposed to transfer all the data over at the end of August, which did not happen. Instead, they started transfering data on Monday but not before The Chain's servers were taken offline (from what I understand, he was piggy-backing on some other internet backbone... I'm not completely sure of the details) and then the data was transfered over slowly. The forum database, however, got lost in the shuffle and didn't make the transfer until now. But at least it's here. And everything seems fine. Man, this has been one stressful week for me. Quote
