BeBop
I did a search, and found precisely one hit for Mommaas. (Perhaps his name is misspelled out there; seems like it'd be easy to do.) I heard him with Armen Donelian a while back (duo) and with a bass player (sorry, name lost to the mists of time and senility.) And I've heard duo recordings with Donelian (mostly standards) and Nikolaj Hess (mostly not, IIRC). He's playing this Thursday with a quartet including Frank Kimbrough at Smalls. While so far, I prefer his duo work - I'm definitely biased toward duos these days - I'm looking forward to the Thursday gig, if I can get free. flat5
Should be a good listen. We were in the same big band sax section for a few months. He always played very good tenor solos. I think that was about 2005.
