Cali Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 I'm not going to post an opinion. I'm just sayin' let the hand wringing begin! Quote
Hardbopjazz Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 With Lance only a second out of first, it just a matter of time before he takes over the lead. Quote
fasstrack Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 What an amazing guy. I don't agree with him being a shill for cancer drugs' corporate scions, but they did save him, I guess. Quote
Aggie87 Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 <hand wringing> I have a hard time getting excited about him nowadays. I'm convinced drugs helped him win some of the previous races. </hand wringing> Quote
Soulstation1 Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 IMO It would be impressive if Armstrong finished in the top five IMO Quote
Jazzmoose Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 I hear he's closing an endorsement deal with Uniball pens. Damn, I wish someone else had said that... Quote
Cali Posted July 26, 2009 Author Report Posted July 26, 2009 Well, Lance took third in the most remarkable comeback in the history of the Tour. Can the nay sayers and accusers finally admit that he is among the greatest cyclist ever? Will they finally concede that he's not a doper after he has been tested more than anyone in sport? Quote
Tim McG Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 (edited) Well, Lance took third in the most remarkable comeback in the history of the Tour. Can the nay sayers and accusers finally admit that he is among the greatest cyclist ever? Will they finally concede that he's not a doper after he has been tested more than anyone in sport? I think the world already knows the truth: Lance Armstrong is the best ever. The French, however, will never back off on that hate Armstrong crap. And to quote Lance himself: "Fuck the French." It gives me absolutely no pleasure to say this, but I wholeheartedly agree. Edited July 26, 2009 by GoodSpeak Quote
JohnS Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 Great tour all round. Some fine riding by Armstrong (not overlooking as Contador, Cavendish etc etc.) . Forming his own team next year, sponsored by Radio Shack. Interesting developments. Quote
clifford_thornton Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 I mean, whatever anyone says about him negatively - I mean he is an asshole - but the man lives to race bicycles. Clearly he's something else. Quote
