Johnny E Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 (edited) Hi all, So Reptet will be doing another west coast tour this October. Last time we skipped LA due to budget limitations. Well, this time we have a workshop gig booked with the students at CalArts, so - LA & San Diego: here we come. Does anyone have any suggestions or connections for some work in the So. Cal area? Thanks again ya'll! -john Edited July 21, 2009 by Johnny E Quote
Adam Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 Check with Rocco - maybe Cafe Metropole? He might be too busy putting together the Angel City Jazz Festival over Labor Day weekend, but I assume you would be coming after that, during the school year? Maybe the Smell in downtown? The place I saw you last time, Safari Sam's, is out of business. And Jazz Bakery is currently out of business as well. Hope you get a chance to play with Vinny Golia, Wadada Leo Smith, and Charlie Haden while you are at Cal Arts! Quote

And I also just saw a show at a place called Bordello in downtown LA that seems liek it could be good for you. It's pretty close to Cafe Metropole. http://cafemetropol.com/ http://www.bordellobar.com/flash/index.html I'll send you Rocco's email separately. But you can also probably reach him through http://www.angelcityjazz.com/ Quote
