Aggie87 Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 RIP, Farrah. Farrah was a native of Corpus Christi. Sad day here. Quote
J.A.W. Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 (edited) 62, way too young. Sad news. Edited June 25, 2009 by J.A.W. Quote
Van Basten II Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 (edited) She had an awful end of career but when she was in her prime she was something else. Charlie's angel is now a real one, RIP Farrah Edited June 25, 2009 by Van Basten II Quote
John L Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 She had an awful end of career but when she was in her prime she was something else. She essentially had two primes - one as a stunning beauty queen and rather bad actress, and a subsequent one as a quite decent (and still very attractive) actress. She really did an admirable job of developing her acting skills as she went along. RIP Quote
Soulstation1 Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 RIP I had one of her posters back in the late 1970's Quote
Alexander Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 No one should have to go that way, and for that I am sorry. On the other hand, I never had the slightest use for her when she was alive, whether as an actress or a bikini model. Sorry. Like the Nick Lowe song says, "She never meant that much to me..." Quote

Yes, but only one of these beauties was eaten by her dog. Quote

Hmmm, this may be the first time the word "hand" and a no use for Farrah Fawcett reference have been used in the same sentence. Quote

RIP agreed. she had a great supporting turn in one of my favorite films of all-time: The Apostle. she's terrifically convincing there. and i remember her being good in Altman's Dr. T And The Women as well, but it's been a very long time since i saw that one and i only saw it once. beautiful, beautiful woman. rest in peace. Jazzmoose Posted June 26, 2009 Report Posted June 26, 2009 (edited) I'm shocked to see that there is not a thread yet on the other celebrity death today, but I'll be damned if I'm going to start it! Edited to add: okay; it's in misc. music; never mind... Edited June 26, 2009 by Jazzmoose Quote
sidewinder Posted June 26, 2009 Report Posted June 26, 2009 Expected but nevertheless very sad news. That first series of 'Charlie's Angels' was a major hit when it came out and her face was everywhere for some years afterwards. Hope she's in peace - RIP. Quote
Free For All Posted June 26, 2009 Report Posted June 26, 2009 Sorry to hear of her passing but glad her suffering is over. Cancer sucks. I had The Poster® on my wall when I was in high school. It made a young man very happy. RIP Quote
