Have read Yusef's book. It's dignified and polite, offers some interesting details about Lateef's illustrious career. There are a few name/date errors.

I believe this was slated for the University of Michigan Press, but it didn't have enough gritty details and Bro. Yusef was unwilling to provide more than this book offers. So UMP rejected it.
