J Larsen Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 Hey B3-er - Do you think it would be possible to add a link to "Today's Active Topics" at the bottom of every thread? I always browse through "Today's Active Topics" looking for interesting threads. If I post to a thread I can't get back to "Today's Active Topics" by just using the "back" button on my browser (unless I click it several times). This is a very minor issue, but I would find it handy to have the link at the bottom of each thread. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 Hmmm. I'll see what I can do. It might take a little bit. I'm not up to snuff on this software's code. Quote
J Larsen Posted March 9, 2003 Author Report Posted March 9, 2003 Don't sweat it at all - in fact, if it takes any non-trivial amount of effort forget I ever mentioned it. If you can click a button and make it happen, cool. BTW, I really like this place and I hope we can bring people over here from AAJ. As you've probably noticed, some hostility/resentment is starting to bubble up over there. Quote

As you've probably noticed, some hostility/resentment is starting to bubble up over there. Man, THIS is the place. The software is very cool. Wait... and so are the posters. BE DONE WITH AAJ! [The Organissimo CD is great as well. I've heard only the MP3s via the main website.] No, errr... this isn't SPAM. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 J Larsen, Well, I edited some code and tried to upload my changes, but I keep getting an error. I think this is related to the avatar uploading problem we were having before. I can't seem to upload anything. I'm going to talk to my server dude about this. Might be some permissions I need to set on my directories. Quote
David Williams Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 If you can do it, Jim, that link will be useful. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 Ok, after working on this for three hours, I've decided to call it a nite. It's now 6am here in Michigan and I'm tired. I can't understand why it doesn't work. All the code seems to be in place, yet no changes show up on these pages... it's very strange. I must be missing something extremely simple. Anyone know html and care to help out? Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 For the time being, I put a link at the very bottom of the page... but I don't want to keep it there... I'd rather have it next to "print this topic". Quote
J Larsen Posted March 9, 2003 Author Report Posted March 9, 2003 Thanks, dude! That's good enough for me! Quote
David Williams Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 Thanks! Three hours? Beyond the call of duty. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 I made it look a little prettier.... Quote
