EKE BBB Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 My sincerest condolences to Roland Garros for having such stupid and dumb-ass spectators. Their behaviour in the game that Nadal lost went beyond negative fanaticism. A fair and polite great champion like Rafa doesn't deserve it. End of rant. A Quote
Soulstation1 Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 I still heart Serena Anyone 'Rena blast her opponet in the forearm with the ball and it bounced back over the net? The umpire let the play stand WTF Quote
Chalupa Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 (edited) I just turned off the Women's Quarterfinal match between Sharapova and Cibulkova. While Maria is still looking good she's got a lot of work to do before she regains her old playing form. A lot of unforced errors and double faults. Edited June 2, 2009 by J.H. Deeley Quote
Claude Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 My sincerest condolences to Roland Garros for having such stupid and dumb-ass spectators. Paris has the worst tennis spectators, but Roland Garros is actually better off than the Paris-Bercy indoor tournament, because at Roland Garros a large part of the tickets are reserved for tennis club members from the whole country, who appreciate the game more than the local Paris crowd. It's no coincidence that it's the Paris audience who is immortalized on jazz live recordings from the 60's for booing legends such as John Coltrane or Jimmy Giuffre. Quote
AndrewHill Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 This is Federer's big chance to win this title. He played Monfils last year in the semis and defeated him in four sets. Its Solderling though that may be the darkhorse in this open. Quote
Aggie87 Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 I think I want to follow the French Open as long as Simona Halep is competing: Quote
Soulstation1 Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 Did she beat 'Rena? That would be a good match Quote
Dan Gould Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 I think I want to follow the French Open as long as Simona Halep is competing: Must have taken up tennis due to the well known effects of her endowments on a woman's golf game. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 I think I want to follow the French Open as long as Simona Halep is competing: First of all she's 17 YO Enjoy those 34DDs while you can she's getting a reduction Quote
Claude Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 (edited) Enjoy while it lasts ... Simona Halep gets a boob job Edit: damn, one minute too slow with my post. Edited June 3, 2009 by Claude Quote
Soulstation1 Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 Online petition to save her puppies LMAO Quote
king ubu Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 Go Roger go! (What the hell's up with the photoshopped images above? Has this turned into the new babes thread? Or wait, is that actually a photoshopped girl or what? Yuck how disgusting!) Quote
Dan Gould Posted June 4, 2009 Report Posted June 4, 2009 Federer is 26-1 lifetime against the remaining draw. If he's gonna win the French its gotta be now. I really hope he does because otherwise we'll probably see him bawling his eyes out again. Quote
Van Basten II Posted June 4, 2009 Report Posted June 4, 2009 I think I want to follow the French Open as long as Simona Halep is competing: First of all she's 17 YO Enjoy those 34DDs while you can she's getting a reduction I agree it's a crime against nature, they should create a championship involving only endowed ladies, it would rack up more more money that the regular ladies game, and yes i used the word rack on purpose Quote
Chalupa Posted June 4, 2009 Report Posted June 4, 2009 I think I want to follow the French Open as long as Simona Halep is competing: Nice racquet. Quote
rockefeller center Posted June 4, 2009 Report Posted June 4, 2009 BTW, Roger Federer has now reached 20 consecutive Grand Slam semifinals. Quote
AndrewHill Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 BTW, Roger Federer has now reached 20 consecutive Grand Slam semifinals. Yup. I think Del Potro will give Roger a run for his money, but Roger is the second best clay court player in the world, so I don't see Del Potro advancing here. Quote
AndrewHill Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 (edited) Fed and Soderling defeat Del Potro and Gonzalez in five sets respectively. Gotta give RFed the edge and if he loses this, I will no longer be a member of his fan club Edited June 5, 2009 by Holy Ghost Quote
Dan Gould Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 Ladies and gentlemen, ROGER FEDERER!!!! Quote
WorldB3 Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 Ladies and gentlemen, ROGER FEDERER!!!! Best backhand I have ever seen. The other thing that is great about Roger is that its hard not to root for him. At some point you want to root against a guy that wins all the time. I was a little young when Connors, McEnroe and Borg were playing to really appreciate them though I do remember watching them. For me I feel that I am watching greatness with Roger. As good as Pete and Andre were I never had that same feeling of awe as I do watching Roger. Quote

But the dumb-ass award of the tournament goes to this guy (from Barcelona?) http://galeries.lalibre.be/album/Striker/ Edited June 7, 2009 by Claude Quote
