I generally prefer a little more tie, but that good of a look at that embouchure on that mouthpiece (looks like an old metal Selmer?) is the kind of thing that is as studyable as the music itself.

We have designed new packages for Von Freeman's Serenade & Blues and Roscoe's LRG/The Maze/S II Examples. The mastering stays the same, we just ran out of paper. I can send pdfs of the new art to interested folks - just let me know. Contact nessarecords@charter.net .14192707_1272286679502556_8778213235782914224950_1272287176169173_78231558193407

An unexpected project from Yuganaut and Roscoe Mitchell from 2009. A studio recording made after an acclaimed concert at Edgefest. This cd is $15 postpaid in the US, etc.

In April we will release a fascinating duo recording of Nick Mazzarella (alto saxophone) and Tomeka Reid (cello) titled Signaling.

We are also deep in the editing and mixing phase of the Roscoe Mitchell / Montreal - Toronto Art Orchestra project. We hope to have the master finished by March 1.

We are planning a couple of other things before our Jubilee Year is over.

Thanks to Chuck for keeping the faith and helping to keep the music alive.

Amen, and I have to say that his "Celebrating 50 Years" reminded me of my comment to my Dad many years ago when I saw his trade advertisement for Gould Entertainment Corporation "celebrating our 10th year" and I said "by staying in business".  Chuck is doing much more than just staying in business.  :tup

It's not easy for small businesses to stay in business these days (probably wasn't at any time). I have a good friend who runs a book store that his father opened 71 years ago. It's still going and my friend has my thanks and admiration for that.
