king ubu Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 Great photos. Indeed Finally took time to have a closer look, myself! Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted October 18, 2013 Author Report Posted October 18, 2013 Thank you, Chuck. Is that one available? 'Maze' sounds like an understatement. MG Yes it is available as part of Roscoe's L-R-G / The Maze / S II Examples. It was originally a 2 lp set now fitting on one disc. The music might not be in your "wheel house". L-R-G is 37 minute trio for woodwinds (Roscoe), high brass (Leo Smith) and low brass (George Lewis). The Maze is a 21 minute octet for all kinds of percussion. S II Examples is a 17 minute exploration of multi-phonics on the curved soprano saxophone. Quote

Not sure about the Russell / Tyler for the 2 bonus tracks. I have the Chief issue too. Quote

Chuck Nessa Posted October 22, 2013 Author Report Posted October 22, 2013 Some version of this shot will be on the cover of our Ira Sullivan issue. It was shot by my good friend Terry Martin. Quote
Deepak Posted October 23, 2013 Report Posted October 23, 2013 (edited) Chuck kudos on the new avatar, that prompted me to dig out your 2 disc reissue. Any chance of this one getting a vinyl reissue? Edited October 23, 2013 by Deepak Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted October 23, 2013 Author Report Posted October 23, 2013 I will try a couple of vinyl reissues next year as a test. I am not sure vinyl issues "from scratch" are financially viable. Quote
