I have a Bud Shank Pacific Jazz 78 from the 3 trombones session as well as a few PJ 45s. Quote

I found a copy of this 78 from a Canadian seller on Ebay a few years back. There are two other 78 releases, one using the Pacifica label and one released using a Drum City label. Many of the alternate takes that have appeared on CD reissues were originally released on PJ 78s and 45s. Jim Harrod Quote

Jim Harrod Jim Thanks for the above info - great addition to my PJ database What are the two titles from the Al Haig 78? (were they released on the Esoteric or Period 10" LP's). How is progress on your Pacific Jazz text/discography - is it near publication Quote

romualdo Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 See my write up in Names & Numbers, AL HAIG ON PACIFIC JAZZ. Jim What's Names & Numbers - have done a search (google) & nothing significant comes up Am I missing something simple here? Also, has PJ 603 (Babasin/Haig - Saunders, Meanders / How About You) ever been released on CD (or LP)? I think all the other 78's have had a CD release over the past 20 or so years Quote
Hardbopjazz Posted May 22, 2009 Report Posted May 22, 2009 There is just so much music out there from days gone bye. I would love hear just about all of this. Any of these made it to the digital world? Quote

I suggested it once. Not that they get many suggestions.... greg mo Quote

Suggested a Mosaic Select of his 50's material (Esoteric, Period, PJ etc) a couple of years back - If I can recall, Mike C cited licencing issues as a problem. The Andorrans (Fresh Sound etc) have made a partial attempt at this but it's never the same as a Mosaic job. Stephen/Romualdo Quote
