Much as I like cats, they have me sneezing my head off and eyes watering like crazy so I could never have one.

Instead, saying hello occasionally to the neighbours' cat works for me.

The thought of a cat running amok with claws out over my vinyl and sitting on the felt mat of the LP12 looking innocent thinking it was a cat litter would bring me out into a cold sweat.

[Teasing the Korean]

One of my cats got into the record room and attacked some LP spines. Luckily, it was only the rock-pop section, R&S. Nothing too major but I was really bummed out about the Rutles.

I'd have to say that the only other time something similar happened

was actually with a psychotic poodle (!) that was in the house where I grew up.

I was 13 and I came home after a very memorable summer trip and found 3 LPs mangled.

Major chunks out of the corners of Gary Burton's "Throb" and the ECM "Return to Forever" cover

and nearly the whole top half of the first Soft Machine LP was missing!

Pissed beyond belief.
