Cliff Englewood Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 Gail Zappa. eh... great post, I think. Quote
Teasing the Korean Posted April 12, 2009 Author Report Posted April 12, 2009 Sorry, computer/posting mishap. I wanted to address her bizarre quest to stop everyone from playing Zappa tunes. What's up with that? Quote
7/4 Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 She's going overboard in trying to protect the Zappa family's rights to the music. . Quote
AllenLowe Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 like her late husband, she is a destructive control freak - everyone else be damned - Quote

Ken Dryden Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 Ed Palermo said that Gail has complained about his performing Frank's music. It's a shame, because he does a decent job with it. Quote
AmirBagachelles Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 Clueless, venal monopolist. Ugly aim is to "preserve" ZPZ's touring market opportunity. Have you checked out insane ZFT pricing for Frank's archival material? Quote
NavSJ Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 She was apparently on NPR recently explaining her position (didn't catch it)--she wants people to get a special license from her instead of a general ASCAP license. What she didn't mention most likely is her desire for Dweezil to monopolize the zappa music revival via the *zappa plays zappa* series. I think it's totally funny that Frank covered stuff like Johnny Cash and Stairway in his own, ahem *peculiar* way. Quote
kh1958 Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 Perhaps she has a weekly tea and strategy session with Errol Garner's widow. Quote
bertrand Posted April 19, 2009 Report Posted April 19, 2009 I was whistling 'Half A Dozen Provocative Squats' the other day in my cubicle at work. Will I get in trouble? Bertrand. Quote
