Christiern Posted April 1, 2003 Report Posted April 1, 2003 Chris, I'm curious why you'd want to erase all your old posts on the BN Board? While I didn't agree with everything, you certainly made some fine contributions over the years. You may not like what the board has become (or will become when it reopens) but I would think you'd stand behind any posts you might have written there. To be honest, this seems like 1984-ish revisionism... Thank you for the compliment. I do stand behind anything I might have posted on that board, but I think its manager(s) could have brought about a change in less offensive manner. I guess it's my way of making them know how I feel about their mis-management. The board definitely needed some policing (Greg and Dan Gould's infantile personal attacks come to mind), but I wish they had handled it more prudently. If I posted anything on the BN board that is worth repeating, I will re-post on better boards. Quote
Swinging Swede Posted April 1, 2003 Author Report Posted April 1, 2003 By an amazing coincidence Verve has relaunched its board today too! You know, the one where questions and feedback for Verve shouldn’t be posted in the forum titled ”Questions and Feedback for Verve”, but in the one titled ”Reissue Lounge”… Verve Music Group Boards Quote
Swinging Swede Posted April 1, 2003 Author Report Posted April 1, 2003 And here is that ultimate of jazz discussion boards: Kenny G Bulletin Board Quote

AfricaBrass Posted April 1, 2003 Report Posted April 1, 2003 Those are great links, SS! I miss that old Verve board and since I'm Kenny G's #1 fan, I think I'll have some fun over there. Quote
Swinging Swede Posted April 1, 2003 Author Report Posted April 1, 2003 You’ll love this! Remember Aric’s Hank Mobley Discography site that got hacked and was presumed lost? Well, it turns out it has been archived too! Aric’s Hank Mobley Discography Website Quote
J.A.W. Posted April 1, 2003 Report Posted April 1, 2003 (edited) Remember when the BNBB looked like this? Blue Note Bulletin Boards (old colour scheme) Wonder what happened to all those "old" members; haven't seen them around for years - at least it seems that long to me. Edited April 1, 2003 by J.A.W. Out2Lunch Posted April 1, 2003 Report Posted April 1, 2003 Yeah, I think Headley Scott morphed into Weizen! Quote
Soul Stream Posted April 1, 2003 Report Posted April 1, 2003 (edited) I always liked the old "darker" color scheme much more. And as much as i love the organissimo site, i could go for a darker color also. a background of pure white is super damaging to your vision, Edited April 1, 2003 by Soul Stream Quote
Peter Johnson Posted April 1, 2003 Report Posted April 1, 2003 Damn, Africa, I your cat avatar continually freaked me out (though I loved the taj mahal version), but your current one is cold terrifying! Quote
AfricaBrass Posted April 1, 2003 Report Posted April 1, 2003 (edited) Damn, Africa, I your cat avatar continually freaked me out (though I loved the taj mahal version), but your current one is cold terrifying! Well, April 1st is the day we honor the greatest soprano saxist EVER. Unfortunately I couldn't find any pictures of him in anyplace except Hell. The cat will be back on his global tour soon. :rsmile: Edited April 1, 2003 by AfricaBrass Quote
Peter Johnson Posted April 1, 2003 Report Posted April 1, 2003 By the way...what the hell...who/what is the cat? Quote
AfricaBrass Posted April 1, 2003 Report Posted April 1, 2003 By the way...what the hell...who/what is the cat? The cat is named James T. Cat. He is the offspring of Captain Kirk and a housecat. That was one crazy Star Trek episode. Quote
